salvagd

Terms of service

Last updated October 28, 2026

salvagd is a marketplace for used OEM car parts. Independent sellers — salvage yards and dismantlers — list parts pulled from vehicles they own, and buyers purchase them through salvagd. By using the site you agree to these terms.

Accounts

You need an account to buy or sell. Keep your login details to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You must be at least 18, and the information you give us — name, email, addresses — must be accurate.

Buying

Each listing shows the part, its condition grade, photos of the actual part or the vehicle it came from, the vehicles it fits, and its price. Shipping and any sales tax are shown before you pay. Payment is taken by Stripe when you check out; salvagd holds the seller's share until the part has shipped.

Used parts carry wear consistent with their age and condition grade. Fitment is stated as accurately as we and the seller can, but check the part number and vehicle details before you buy and before installation. Returns and refunds follow our return & refund policy.

Selling

Sellers must own the parts they list, describe them truthfully (condition, damage, part numbers, fitment), ship them within the stated handling time with tracking, and answer buyer requests within 3 business days. Sellers are paid through Stripe Connect after the part ships, less salvagd's fees. Refunds issued under the return policy — including those salvagd decides when a buyer asks us to step in — are charged to the seller, and may be recovered from future payouts.

Listings may also be published to eBay through the seller's own connected eBay account, where eBay's terms apply as well.

What isn't allowed

  • Listing parts you don't own, stolen parts, or recalled safety parts.
  • Misdescribing a part, its condition or what it fits.
  • Arranging payment outside salvagd for a part found on salvagd.
  • Abusing returns or disputes, or harassing other users.
  • Scraping, overloading or interfering with the site.

We may remove listings and suspend accounts that break these rules.

Disputes between buyers and sellers

Problems with an order go through the dispute process described in the return policy. If buyer and seller can't agree, salvagd reviews the case and decides; that decision settles the refund on salvagd. It does not take away any rights you have with your card issuer or under law.

Liability

salvagd provides the marketplace; the parts are sold by the sellers. To the extent the law allows, salvagd is not liable for indirect or consequential losses — such as labour, towing or loss of use — arising from a part bought on the site, and our total liability for an order is limited to the amount paid for it.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date at the top says when. Continuing to use salvagd after a change means you accept the new terms.
